Sometimes all you need is a safe space to talk. To hear that you are not crazy. That you are distressed because of everything you've been through. Therapy is good at doing this. At helping you understand your emotional reactions, your survival reactions, in the face of stress. What a relief it is to hear that your feelings, your anxiety, depression, anger, stress, are all normal. Normal, human reactions to the crappy, traumatic events life has thrown at you.
